The majority of animals coming through our doors are dogs and cats. However, no creature in need is ever turned away. Many of these animals are found abandoned, some dropped off by owners who can no longer care for them. Either way, regardless of breed, age or type, these animals are kept happy and healthy until suitable homes can be found for them. No cat or dog leaves Contented Critters without being spayed or neutered!

There is a reason for being a no-kill shelter, IT WORKS! There is a home for every adoptable dog and cat. Janie came to us as part of an unwanted litter when she was about 14 weeks old. Her litter mates were all adopted but not Janie. She was the only puppy to grow up at Contented Critters. She was passed by time and again. Now celebrate with us---after 7 years and 8 months---Janie has found her special person and her forever home!
